Heather Bastian, University of Kansas

Heather Bastian is a doctoral student in composition and rhetoric at the University of Kansas. She has presented at the College Conference of Composition and Communication, and her publications include "Examining Historical Consciousness: A Bakhtinian-Influenced Pedagogy for James Baldwin's 'Going to Meet the Man."'

Lindsey Harkness, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center

Lindsey Harkness has a bachelor of arts degree in English from Lafayette College. Lindsey established a career in higher education administration and earned her MSEd from Northwestern University in 2006. Her early career in higher education led to an interest in other nonprofit organizations, and she currently works as a prospect research officer at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.
